I’m a nature enthusiast who adores greens and wildflowers, a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a dedicated lifestyle photographer. I have loved taking photos since I was little and could handle a disposable camera. I have since perfected the art of seizing bright, candid moments that encapsulate your family’s authentic connections. I believe you deserve visuals that celebrate the splendor of your daily life while you navigate the delightful chaos of parenthood.
Looking for some beautiful family portraits near Provo, Utah? As a Provo family photographer, I would love to show you some beautiful new areas I found for family photographs near the Provo area. 😍 But first – in case you haven’t seen my previous blog post, I’m going to tell you WHY I’m so passionate about finding new photo locations.
When I started photography I noticed there were a lot of popular picture spots in Utah. Especially family picture spots in Provo. Some examples are Big Springs and Buffalo Peak. Everyone was doing sessions there and recommending them on social media pages. The photos that some photographers were shooting at these locations were very beautiful. I really wanted my work to look as good as theirs so I figured if I went to these *magical* spots, my work would look beautiful too.
Location after location I realized these spots weren’t actually magical at all. Sure there were some pretty areas BUT they were being used by 10 other photographers who were in line ahead of you. 🙄 Or if you tried to find another background nearby you had to be strategic to crop several other groups out of your photos. I also started realizing that these spots were being heavily used in so many photographer’s work that they were starting to become boring.
I needed family picture locations that made me stand out as a Utah family photographer. They needed to be unique without tons of other people. Over the next year, I started searching and driving and hiking. Slowly, I started building up a portfolio of beautiful spots. Now I have a whole guide filled with family photography location options for my clients! Including a few in the Provo area.
I spent a whole afternoon going through different areas in Provo and it definitely paid off. There are a couple spots I’ve photographed that are great options to use. Mid May has some amazing wildflowers that bloom in some of these spots as well. The best time to get photos is close to when the sun goes behind the mountains to get some beautiful hazy glow in the sky.
It would be an honor to be considered as your Provo Family Photographer. Click here if you’d like to see my portfolio that shows other locations including more family photography spots🙂
