I’m a nature enthusiast who adores greens and wildflowers, a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, and a dedicated lifestyle photographer. I have loved taking photos since I was little and could handle a disposable camera. I have since perfected the art of seizing bright, candid moments that encapsulate your family’s authentic connections. I believe you deserve visuals that celebrate the splendor of your daily life while you navigate the delightful chaos of parenthood.
This spring and summer have been so much fun for me to location scout! The flowers are blooming big time this year. I feel like I’m on a treasure hunt every time I find a new spot. I don’t always promote myself as a Davis County family photographer because it’s a bit of a drive for me to get out that direction, but I found a spot I just couldn’t pass up.
Near Tunnel Springs park, there’s a hike that goes past a beautiful field of Lupines. I saw someone post a picture of it online and I just HAD to find it for myself! I was so ambitious that I scheduled two mini sessions there before I had even seen it. A few hours before the sessions, the forecast changed to a chance of rain. I was so nervous but decided to go for it anyway. After I got to the park I started the short hike to the field. While I was still a ways back, the flowers were so light it almost looked like they had died. I started scrambling for backup ideas but continued towards the flowers just in case. As soon as I got closer and the light started hitting them from behind, they were perfectly visible and boy were they GORGEOUS!
My clients were champs and hiked with their kids to the spot and changed when we got there. The clouds passed and we were blessed with a beautiful sunset. Not going to lie, the whole experience was pretty nerve-wracking leading into it but I’m so happy I went for it! Now I have another fun spot to add to my Davis County location guide! If you’d like to see some of the other spots I’ve photographed, check out my portfolio here.
